I Know We're All Sick of It
Since you can't get away from all the talk about Michael Jackson, sad news that it is, I thought I'd share this video of Caetano Veloso singing Billie Jean that I saw on another blog. I thought it was a pretty amazing interpretation by a singer I never would have figured to sing an MJ song. The first (and only, really) time I heard of Caetano Veloso was in the Almodovar movie Hable con Ella, which you should see if you haven't. Anyway, enjoy.

Is Habla con Ella the one with the comatose woman? I don't remember any music in particular from that movie. Erin

Yeah, the bullfighter who gets hurt and in a coma. There's a scene where her boyfriend is at some party and Veloso is singing a song (cucurrucu(sp?) paloma) and the boyfriend thinks he sees his girlfriend there (I don't remember names, it was seven years ago), it's a haunting and emotional scene, the one that stands out in my mind the most.
